The Storm documents the collision between mental illness and lockdown-living during covid19 pandemic. This was created during the first lockdown when, like many, I was struggling to come to terms with what this meant for existence as we know it. Writing this was part of my own way of coping. I don't have the answers, and this isn't a song filled with reassurances, but as we enter another lockdown, I know that one of the most important things is to be gentle with yourself, and remember that being upset or emotionally turbulent is incredibly normal in the face of something so huge and frightening. The Storm is real, but you can get through this.
